Privacy notice

Last updated: 4 November 2026. This notice explains how CV Motion uses personal data collected through this pre-launch website, in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who we are

CV Motion is a pre-launch project run by Antony Murray, based in the United Kingdom, who is the data controller for the information described here. You can contact us about anything in this notice using the request form below.

What we collect

At this stage CV Motion only runs a waitlist. We do not collect CVs, photos or payment details on this website. When you join the waitlist we collect:

If you use the request form, we collect your email address, the type of request and your message.

To protect the forms from spam, we keep a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address for up to one hour to limit repeated submissions. We don't store your IP address itself.

Why we use it and our lawful basis

We will not sell your data, we will not use it for advertising profiles, and we will not send you marketing from anyone else.

AI and your data

When CV Motion launches, CVs, photos and videos will never be used to train AI models without your explicit consent, and the product is designed never to add anything to your video that isn't in your CV or that you haven't added yourself. Before any CV is uploaded, we'll publish an updated privacy notice that explains exactly which services process it.

Who we share it with

Our website and waitlist database are hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., which acts as our processor. Cloudflare runs a global network, so data may be processed outside the UK. Where that happens, it is protected by Cloudflare's data processing terms, which include the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU standard contractual clauses. We don't share your data with anyone else, and no emails are sent automatically by this site.

How long we keep it

We keep waitlist details until 12 months after CV Motion launches, or until you ask us to delete them or withdraw consent, whichever comes first. If we decide not to launch CV Motion, we'll delete the waitlist within three months of that decision. Request-form messages are kept for up to 12 months after we've dealt with them.

Cookies

This website doesn't use advertising or analytics cookies, and it doesn't load third-party tracking scripts or web fonts.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, correct it, have it deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, receive a copy in a portable format, and withdraw your consent at any time. We'll respond within one month. Use the form below to make a request.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint. We'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.
